How long do replacement windows take to fit?

Most homes are done in one to three days depending on how many openings there are and whether any of them need building work. We’ll give you a realistic schedule with your quote and stick to it.

Which window material should I choose?

It usually comes down to the property and the look you want. uPVC suits most homes and is the easiest to live with, aluminium gives you slimmer frames and bigger panes, and timber is often the right answer for period and conservation properties. Compare the materials or ask us at survey.

Do I need planning permission for new windows?

Straightforward like-for-like replacements usually don’t, but listed buildings and conservation areas have their own rules and some properties have permitted development rights removed. We’ll flag anything that looks like it needs checking with your local authority before we start.

Are your windows Building Regulation compliant?

Yes. We’re Certass registered, which means we self-certify that the installation meets Building Regulations and you receive a certificate for your records — useful when you come to sell.

Is it worth replacing just one or two windows?

Absolutely, and we do it regularly. If a unit has misted up or a frame has failed there’s no need to do the whole house. We can also match new units to your existing windows where the profile is still available.
