Why us
A kitchen is four trades pretending to be one
The units are the easy part. What holds a kitchen job up is everything that has to happen before they go in.
Walls come out, sockets move, pipework gets rerouted, the floor gets levelled and the ceiling gets patched. Book those separately and you spend six weeks chasing four diaries.
We do the lot, so the electrician turns up when the plasterer has finished and the units land when the floor is ready. The date we give you is a date, not an aspiration.
- Structural openings and knock-throughs
- Electrics, lighting and appliance circuits
- Plumbing, waste and appliance connections
- Plastering, flooring and decorating afterwards

What's involved
What a kitchen job involves
Design and survey
Measured properly, laid out around how you actually use the room.
Structural work
Walls removed or openings formed, with the beam calculated and signed off.
First fix
Electrics and plumbing moved to suit the new layout before anything is boarded.
Plastering
Walls and ceilings made flat and ready to paint, not ready for filler.
Units and worktops
Fitted level and scribed to the walls, templated worktops where needed.
Flooring and finish
Floor laid, decorating done and the site cleared before we leave.
Worth knowing
Where kitchen quotes go wrong
Almost every kitchen that overruns does so for the same two reasons, and both are visible at survey if somebody looks.
The first is the floor. Old kitchens hide sunken screeds, rotten boards and three layers of vinyl. Levelling it is not optional and it is not free, so it belongs on the quote at the start.
The second is the wall you want removed. If it is holding something up it needs a beam, a calculation and building control. We check both before writing a number down.

Renovations
Doing more than the kitchen?
Most kitchen jobs turn into two or three. Here is what else we take on.

Kitchens
Design, supply and fit — including the walls, floors, electrics and plastering that a new kitchen always turns out to need.

Bathrooms
Full bathroom refits from strip-out to tiling, including moving services and getting the falls and waterproofing right.

Living Spaces
Knocking through, opening up, and turning a set of small dark rooms into somewhere the family actually uses.

Refurbishments
Whole-house work — a tired property brought back room by room, or a rental turned round between tenancies.
